Sharing My Truth

We talk about life, love, relationships, sex and what we have learnt and want to learn. Each week we sit down for a chat about the good, the bad, the ugly, the embarrassing moments, the drama and the down right wild and crazy stuff that happens in life. The truth is we’re all searching for answers, solutions and to make life better, but how do we get there? How do we learn to speak to each other so we can have better relationships with each other and with ourselves? By sharing our truth with you, we hope it helps you get a little closer to your truth.

He hasn’t asked her. He’s just thinking about it and wondering if even thinking this makes him the asshole.
In this episode, we break down a relationship dilemma that’s more internal than confrontational. A man earns enough to comfortably support both himself and his girlfriend, and he’s debating whether it’s wrong to want her to quit her job. Not because she asked. Not because there’s a problem. Simply because he can afford it, and believes it might make their life easier.
We unpack what’s really going on beneath the surface: money, power, intention, and fear of how this question might land. Is wanting to provide a loving instinct, or does the thought itself cross into control before the conversation even starts?
This episode dives into financial roles in modern relationships, independence versus partnership, and why money conversations can feel so loaded before a single word is spoken.
If you’ve ever hesitated to bring up a sensitive topic because you were worried about how it would sound, this one’s for you.

He asked for an open relationship, expecting more freedom and more options. What followed was a harsh reality check.
In this episode, we break down what happens when couples open their relationship without fully understanding modern dating dynamics. We talk about open relationships, non-monogamy, dating apps, emotional boundaries, and why one partner often ends up thriving while the other struggles.
This episode is for anyone curious about open relationships, navigating modern dating, or questioning whether non-monogamy is a healthy choice or a risky experiment.

Waiting For Marriage Or Wasting Your Time?
Wednesday Jan 07, 2026
Wednesday Jan 07, 2026
How long should you wait for marriage before it becomes a waste of time? In this episode, we break down the real cost of waiting for commitment and how to know if a relationship is actually moving toward marriage or just stuck in limbo.
We talk about waiting for a ring, mixed signals, and the common excuse of “soon.” We also unpack commitment issues, why some partners avoid marriage, and how fear, comfort, and convenience can keep a relationship going without real progress.
If you’re asking yourself whether to keep waiting, have the marriage conversation, or walk away, this episode helps you understand the signs, the red flags, and when waiting for marriage makes sense versus when it’s time to choose yourself.

The Relentless Pressure Men Face To Perform: What Men Are Really Struggling
Wednesday Dec 31, 2025
Wednesday Dec 31, 2025
Men are expected to have it all together. Make the money. Stay strong. Lead the relationship. Never complain. Never crack.
But what actually happens when the pressure to perform never lets up?
In this episode, we read out a listener write-in and unpack the silent expectations placed on men, from success and sex to confidence and emotional control, and why so many men feel like they’re failing even when they’re doing everything “right.” We discuss the stress no one sees, the burnout no one asks about, and the internal battles men rarely feel safe admitting out loud.
This discussion isn’t a blame game, and it’s not a pity party. It’s an honest conversation about modern masculinity, emotional isolation, performance anxiety, and what men are really struggling with behind closed doors.
If you’ve ever felt like you had to carry it all without dropping the ball, this one will hit home.

What Women Say They Want Vs What Masculine Men Actually Are
Wednesday Dec 24, 2025
Wednesday Dec 24, 2025
What women say they want in a man often sounds clear on paper: emotionally available, confident, strong, kind, and secure. But in real life, attraction doesn’t always follow the script. In this episode, we unpack the growing gap between what women say they want and how they actually respond to masculine men in dating and relationships. This isn’t about blaming anyone; it’s about getting real about desire, polarity, and the confusion a lot of men feel when they do “everything right” and still get rejected.
We talk about why masculine energy is often misunderstood, how modern dating culture has softened or distorted what masculinity actually looks like, and why some men feel pressured to tone themselves down to be chosen. If you’ve ever felt like the advice doesn’t match the outcomes or wondered why confidence and leadership are praised but punished in practice, this conversation will hit close to home. Honest, uncomfortable at times, and long overdue.

Is it smarter to settle for the nice guy who treats you well or hold out for the dream man who gives you butterflies but no guarantees? In this episode, we unpack the quiet thoughts many women have but rarely say out loud. The pressure to choose safety over chemistry, fear over desire, and timing over truth. We talk honestly about what “nice” really means, why attraction can’t be negotiated, and how guilt plays a bigger role in dating decisions than most people admit.
This conversation goes beyond surface-level dating advice. We explore emotional safety vs sexual spark, the fear of ending up alone, and how social expectations push women to stay in relationships that look good on paper but feel empty in real life. If you’ve ever wondered whether you’re being unrealistic, too picky, or quietly settling, this episode will hit close to home. It’s raw, honest, and exactly the conversation people avoid having about modern relationships.

Wednesday Dec 10, 2025
Wednesday Dec 10, 2025
She never meant to fall into an affair. It didn’t start in a dramatic or scandalous way, it started slow. A few late-night work chats, a growing connection, and the feeling that someone finally saw her. But everything changed the moment she found out she was pregnant. Then his wife announced she was expecting too, and he chose his wife and family over her.
In this listener story, we dig into how these situations actually unfold, the emotional slide from innocent conversations to a full relationship, and the power imbalance that keeps women hoping things will turn out differently. We discuss the guilt, the heartbreak, and the shock of realizing the man who made big promises is now trying to hide you and the baby.
This episode gets into the truth about affairs, workplace boundaries, emotional manipulation, and what happens when you become the “other woman” without ever intending to. We also unpack how to move forward, protect your mental health, and break patterns that pull you into relationships that hurt.
